All New BMW X7

The German based automaker BMW is planning to launch a new large SUV soon which will sit above the current X5 and it will be named the X7.

After Audi and Mercedes-Benz have been quite successful in selling large SUVs in its markets, BMW couldn’t stay aside and besides working on the new generation of the X5, which should make its way onto the market sometimes next year, the German based automaker is also planning to develop a brand new SUV, which will sit above the X5 and it will be named the X7. The model in question has been already spied with camouflage on its body while it was sitting in a parking lot.

The images posted below have been taken in the California mountains, where the BMW X7 has been tested and this is no surprise considering the fact that the region has the highest year-to-year SUV sales in the United States. The BMW X7 will be a direct rival to the Mercedes-Benz GL and it will come with a seven-seat layout. The future BMW SUV will probably be launched after the new generation of the X5 will become available to its future customers. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.

Just wondering what make you think so? And Q7 is one hell of a machine buddy and it's not just about Showoff only. It's classy, sporty and has a take me anywhere attitude.

Q7 owners made me think so. Know a few of them. I like the way it looks and V8 is a dream but the Q7 is pointless.. No offroading,not as spacious as a GL. But yeah much faster.

Well then can't say anything but i have heard good things about the Q7 and personally drove a 3.0. Was amazing.

Reviving an old thread buddies!

The BMW X7 receives a go-ahead from Bavarian and it would be built at their Spartanburg, South Carolina plant.

BMW didn't have much to say about the model but previous reports have indicated it will be a seven seat crossover that will be launched in 2017 or 2018. Little else is known about the X7 but it is expected to ride on the same platform that underpins the next-generation 5- and 7-Series.

BMW X7 to get a V12 engine.

BMW has been developing the X7, its new flagship SUV that will be sharing its underpinnings with the Rolls-Royce’s new SUV. The project has been going on for the last two years and we can expect the BMW X7 to be launched by late 2016 or 2017. BMW has codenamed the X7 as G07 and this will feature the running gear and suspension of the already existing X5 and X6.

The BMW X7 as reported suggests that BMW will be launching the X7 with six, eight and even 12-cylinder engine options. This will be the first time that an X model will be getting a V12 engine. This will get the TwinPower V6 and V8 petrol and diesel engines. The X7 will also have a plug-in hybrid too, like the recently launched X5.


The BMW X7 will be available in xDrive (all-wheel drive system) and even rear-wheel drive. This will be competing with the Range Rover and will have a lot more frills than the existing 7 Series. The X7 will be a lot more luxurious than the 7 Series, as the current 7 has been there for a while. The X7 will be a seven-seater SUV and a concept version could be showcased at the next month’s Shanghai Auto Show.

BMW's upcoming X7 SUV has been spied in production form.

Basically the SUV equivalent of the 7 Series, BMW’s forthcoming luxobarge will be built exclusively at the Spartanburg factory in United States and will ride on the CLAR platform. It’s going to host up to seven people inside its lavish cabin, but there are also plans for an even more luxurious four-seater version.

Since we’re on the subject of additional variants, BMW is allegedly toying around with the idea of giving the X7 the full-on M treatment, but even if approved, it won’t come sooner than 2020. If an X7 M won’t actually happen, recent trademark fillings have shown Alpina will most likely prepare powered-up XB7 gasoline and XD7 diesel models.

BMW X7 is huge. It is 5163 mm long, 1999 mm wide and 1805 mm tall. Wheelbase is 3103 mm long. When compared to the BMW X5, X7 is 228 mm longer, 5mm narrower (yes, the X5 is wider), and 53 mm taller. Wheelbase too is longer by 129 mm. BMW X7 sits on huge machine cut 21 inch alloys, wrapped in low profile tyres. In the front it has LED headlamps and massive grille, while the rear features signature LED taillights.

Don't know about it's full size, but.. The BMW Signature Kidney-Type Grill, It's just increasing ever and now i have just started hating this type of grill it was perfect in previous Gen X's like the X5.
Though it's my personal opinion about the grill but the car itself, excluding grill, is now looking Sick and this Rims are too icing on the cake.
