Patanjali launched a messaging app. Called “Kimbho”, the app bears similar features to WhatsApp, and is available free of cost on both the Google Play Store, and Apple’s App store. Along with private and group chats, the Kimbho app also supports voice and video calling.

Why another messaging app? We have too much already. How many apps will one install on their phone and use regularly? Right now, most people use whatsapp and a consider number use Messenger. It will be very hard to compete with whatsapp.

This easy to hack security is really irresponsible from patanjali's side. The hacker could read all messages of all users. Its a privacy risk.

It will be a reasonable success as BJP IT team will be actively promoting it and will use it for jumla propagation in the run up to 2019 elections. Users should be aware that the data belongs to Patanjali and it will be shared with Govt as the data is stored on Mumbai Amazon server which comes under Indian authority . The app was not GDPR complaint. Be aware that all chat apps use many dangerous permissions.

Also port 8080, mailman etc of the website too can be exploited when the app is launched. Every Tom Dick and Harry now know about Kimbho (Internal name: bolo app) exploits. Here's one of the open 8080 port :
