Hi guys! I am back with a very simple but important DIY. I have a Chevy Optra 1.6 Petrol car, have a decent ICE setup in it. But i was not satisfied by the door speakers sound. I have 6 speakers (4 on door+2 on parcel tray) + sub and amp setup. On parcel tray i have JBL GTO 935 (6x9 3 way coaxials) and these are excellent set of speakers. On front doors i have sony xs-gtf 13382 13cm speakers(installed by previous owner). These speakers are working nicely . On rear doors have stock speakers and these speakers are very very weak. You have to go real close to the grille to know if they are working or not.
Then i decided to purchase two new speakers to improve the sound of my ICE setup. Optra has provision for 16cm speakers in front doors and 13cm in rear doors. Currently front doors have 13 cm Sony speakers, so decided to transfer those to rear doors and purchase new 16 cm for front doors.
After some research , purchased new Pioneer TS-R1650S 3way coaxial speakers. Installation was a simple DIY , so i am sharing with TAI-GERs
Removing and reinstalling door pads are easy. Only those trims around internal door unlock hinges and ORVM area covers are bit difficult to remove . Here are the pictures :
