This is how we replace the mirrors in alto.[:)]

  1. Pull out the cover using hand.
  2. You will see three screws there,Unscrew it.
  3. Hold the mirror with one hand inorder to prevent it from falling on to the ground.
  4. take it off, place new one and put back the screws.
  5. Put back the cover too.

Thats all.[:)]

Nice and simple DIY. Procedure is same for Maruti 800 too. I bought a left side rear view mirror for hundred bucks. It’s also possible to install internally adjustable ORVMs in 800.

Nice DIY. I am sure it will help our members who are just beginners when it comes to installing something on their cars.

Did you mean Alto 800 or Maruti 800 ?

If its former its available in MASS (price 1200 per piece L/R)

If its later, try fitting old Zen ORVMs they may fit in. Check in MASS.
I was asking for maruti 800..the place where the mirrors are fitted is too small..cant fit alto or zen ones.

Even I'm interested to install these internally adjustable ORVM's on my alto lxi 2009 model.

Are they available in MGP stores ? Should i ask them for alto k10 ORVM's ?

Hello Everyone,
Any updates on this? I asked my service center (Asha Auto Service - Kurla Mumbai), they said it can not be done. I will try with other local repair centers and let you people know. If you guys know anything, please post.

The car is pretty good and I intend to keep it for long, so it needs some upgrades.

I got internally adjustable, convex mirrors fitted for 1200 Rs, and 80 Rs fitting charge.
Not a perfect fit, but now i can see a lot more area.

My Right side mirror had some issues and so had to buy new one. This time i bought the cheaper 500 Rs one. And changed its mirror with old mirror as there was 100 Rs difference. Worked perfect. The mirrors are just Latch on types and are interchangeable between different models. I have tried only 2 models and they are not Originals.
