Dear basis always listen to your heart before buying a car,I remember 5 years back we were in almost similar dilemma as you, we wanted to buy a car around 4 lakhs and every one suggested us to go for Wagon R, Zen Estilo,or even Alto lxi, but I simply refused because Indica was my dream car, so we went with a car that is very rare to have Indica Xeta
Now I know Jazz is more practical option but if I were you I will go for Fiat Punto FIRE 90,why here are my reasons:
1. The thailand floods have ensured that there is a huge waiting period on Jazz almost 6 months, you surely don't want to wait that long.
2. Jazz is indeed a very practical car with 1.2 i-Vtec engine, but its just that, does it appeal to your heart, hell no,no other design appeals to heart like Italian design and remain fresh year after year, so go for punto, you will be happy to se your car even after 5 yrs.
3. Are you sure you wanna go for petrol, because with current december discounts i think you can get punto mulijet also under your budget modern diesels don't suffer from starting problems even if kept unused for a long time, anyway petrol or diesel go for fiat Punto. THE X-OVER
