Well for checking the worth of stockyard vehicle, its better to do PDI there itself. One should closely inspect the body panels, ODO, Tyres, Engine & under body. Also, assuming that these cars are standing unused for a considerable period, better would be to check if the engine cranks up in one attempt or not. If all goes well
, I think there is no
issue in buying those cars.
I have heard great things about Maruti but my experience with their sales guys/shoowroom hasn't been very positive. The lady from Maruti showroom was not as responsive as Hyundai guys. She was not ready to give anything more than 10k consumer discount on Swift LXI optional with a take it or leave it attitude. Nexa was not any better either. I had put a request for Baleno Quote on Nexa website but there hasn't been any update on it.
Typically MSIL Dealers do this regularly. Nexa or Regulars, the breeds of SA(s) they have are the most ignorant ones. When without an effort they are able to sell double digit cars in a single day, why will they bother on replying to queries and listening to questions?
Hyundai SA was a very well behaved kind guy who even bought the car to my home for test ride( 20 kms from Showroom). Hyundai was far more responsive than both TAT & Maruti sales team.
I agree, even I once called an Elantra for TD and the car was sent to my place by a Noida Dealer. TATA Dealers often are sleepy and lazy no doubts. I have practically experienced it here in Noida. The in-showroom atmosphere at TATA dealer was more like some dharamshala
i.e anyone can come or go, the executives are roaming around, customers are attended to quite late. However, the only good experience I had with TATA dealer here was that the SA assigned to me was prompt and truthful and he came to my home for TD of Tigor after which I had booked the car. And yes, TATA dealers aren't as pro-active as others. In short, MSIL Dealers are over-confident and TATA Dealers are bit slow and lazy.
