Just one suggestion. Get the B and C pillar taped to gloss black to match the A pillar. The stock wrap is matte black on these places and it looks dull on some colours. Cost will be under 500 bucks.
Another small suggestion would be chrome door handles, if your variant doesn't already have that. Cost would be around 1000 from showroom (not sure since I enquired for Grand i10 some months back). Quote:

It is recommended by the manufacturer and since the suspension is same in Sportz and Asta, what is good for Asta will be the same in lower variants as well.
If going for aftermarket wheels, go for the same rim width as well or confirm the warranty terms from the showroom guys before putting your money. I would suggest Asta variant rims from an alloy wheel dealer. You will find plenty of sellers/dealers on online sites who are willing to ship also.

Alpha | I am skipping alloys as of now. Will run on stock setup for sometime. Will change to 16" alloys somewhere down the line. 16" alloys are offered in the asta variant. So I don't think warranty will be a problem.
I will get illuminated scuff plates which the showroom guys advised for aftermarket fit and chrome handles may be as you suggested. |

| Re: First Car Dilema If they are giving that for free ask them to adjust the price of it in your chrome handles and illuminated scuff plates.
Rather than the scuff plates i would suggest ambient lighting( lighting below the dashboard) looked cool when I checked.

It is better to stick to dealer-provided accessories in case of electronic items, like illuminated scuff plates, ambient lighting, DRLs, etc. as any spliced wire (high chances in an aftermarket install) means your warranty goes for a toss. And that is a big risk for a new car.
You can purchase other non-electronic accessories (like door handles, door visor, beadings, etc.) from aftermarket without any issue.

Alpha | Illuminated scuff plates are not available with dealer. And ambient lighting am not sure. My first preference is dealer only. Else I am planning to buy them online and request dealer to install them during first service |

Alpha | Only Electrical Warranty goes AFAIK , anyways your point is correct BTW I believe some dealers are willing to install for a fee if you bring them aftermarket HUs etc (ask and see first) so that warranty is not void |

| Re: First Car Dilema Got delivery today. car is awesome and the fit and finish of the cabin is top notch. Will upload pics and a cosmetic review later.
One bummer is small scratches and a little damaged paint on the doors pf driver side. As i was at the last step of delivery did not ask for a different car. They promised to repaint the doors when I will go for number plate fitment. |

Heartiest congratulations for the new car. Wish you lots of miles with smiles in it. Do post the actual on road price for the benefit of others. Awaiting some pictures as well. Quote:

Better to have it in writing somewhere.
Regards,
Alpha | Thanks :). The OTR is 7.17L.
And yes I wanted that in writing also. But my company and that dealership has very good relationship. I don't think they will want to jeopardize that over such things. They will fix it, atleast I hope so. |

| Re: First Car Dilema Congrats for the acquisition @Nomad
Regarding the scratch, if it is not glaringly visible then better don't get the door repainted. There are 2 reasons:
1) There is nothing called perfect colour matching. If they repaint the door alone then it will start looking odd either by day 1 itself or after an year. Second is that they can paint a side entirely to get perfect match, that is also not recommended.
2) No matter what, they may so it by themselves but the repainted parts start looking odd and out of place after an year or two of usage. OEM paint and finish is OEM only.
Hence I request you not to get the door rapiers or re painted if there is minor scratch which is not glaringly visible. Mark my word, yoy get it repainted and you will then recall my word after an year for sure. This is your first car and I am not expecting an much experienced car owner in you, hence placed my opinion over this repainting thing. |

And the scratches are not visible if you are not looking for them. However Hyundai said they will paint the entire two doors and not only the scratched portion. Have not decide yet Quote:

And from the online listings am not sure which to buy. Needed the illuminated scuff plates and chrome handles urgently

| Re: First Car Dilemma Won't recommend any chrome accessory from outside. It will rust in no time and after rains the residue gets on the paint. I bought for my verna and removed it after some months. ( bought from aliexpress) |
