I would like to buy anew car.

considering etios gd and s cross sigma...

in my sense the thing i really lack in etios is abs and electric adjustment for orvm.

i had called the dealer and they said its not possible to fit electric orvm in this basic trim. he said the orvm itself cost 4k and the wiring cost 6k.

10k 4 orvm [frustration]..now i had 3 options..i heard that a new etios is coming when.

my purchase should be before august. any news about new etios?

THE 3 ways.

1. WAIT for new etios i want the new mid. not sure toyota give it in gd

2. buy s cross sigma 50k more than etios. everything but lacks looks. etios looks good in my opinion also my family can travel with enough legroom in it.

s cross is less space car with large dimensions in my words.

3. buy the still selling ETIOS..feared that it becomes old after few months..lacks many : mid, electric orvm, abs etc

please give your suggestion. what do i do [confused]

can i add electric orvm in etios gd. i have called many toyota showrooms around the state , they said its not possible [frustration]

New etios will be available soon i hope. And as you know its really a spacious car. The electric orvm are really useful but are very costly. Mine is fiesta and a single orvm costs 14000. It becomes a big issue once you use your car generally in neck to neck traffic. So manual orvm is also good unless you are high on pocket. And please don't go without ABS ,EBD, AIRBAGS as it is for your safety.

@Adithya:
Go for S Cross, it's a way better vehicle any day over the Etios; if you can go for Delta version than it will be even better.

looks are subjective but i like etios design inside out something CLASSIC.

S cross lacks it and superb service

cost of s cross service in 6 yrs is above 35k

etios just 18k [clap][clap]
also a new s cross is coming. this model have not selled too much. so reliability
is an issue. just like how old swift, baleno, esteem etc lost its value.
however toyotas or even tatas (i own a tata-10yrs old) havnt this issue
still toyota serves qualis like a new car. also s cross is too wide i think..
so it may be hard to drive in cities..large turning radius make it more difficult. any s cross owners please post their driving experiences

S Cross is a better car, in all aspects. Unless, it will be driven by a driver and fuel economy and cheaper service are main priorities. S cross has good enough space, tall body helps in easy entry/exit, firm Suspension is both comfortable and stable at any speeds. Ground clearance is also good.

I dont see how it is significantly larger than an Etios.

Length Width Height Dimensions
Etios 4265x1695x1510mm
S Cross:4300x1765x1590mm

S Cross gives you better ground clearance, but Etios gives you a huge boot. The ONE major difference is that the Etios diesel has much lesser power/torque, atleast on paper. But its maintenance costs are also quite low.

You cant go wrong with either S=Cross or Etios. For all things equal, buy the one that is more pocket friendly!
