I am getting a tata nano from one of my relative in 30K, its 2011 CX & driven around 25K. From outside its clean & there is no dent or scratch, when i drive i found clutch is heard & steering is also feel heavy. AC works very well & engine is also smooth.

My main purpose of buying is for driving learning purpose for my wife & my father.

can anyone tell me how much i have to spent on overhauling of clutch & servicing of Nano ?

is it worth to buy this car ?

30k is a good price! Come on, 2011 FZ and Pulsar 220 sell for 28-30k in NCR. [lol]

As bhvm said, take a mechanic along with you and check for any problems (mechanical). If everything is okay, seal the deal. How is the bodyline? Did you check for any accidental damage?

If it is for learning purpose, you may not need to overhaul the clutch. Just let your family learn driving in it and you can sell it off after sometime (say at 35k kms) for a better car.

30k for a 25k kms 2011 Tata Nano CX. Heck, I would have bought the car till now, got its clutch done and put it on olx for 50k

It's a steal.Period.

Buy the car, teach your wife and father driving for next 10k kms and then also you can easily sell this car for 40-50k availing a profitable deal.

i just call them to get the car on 1st jan & they say that u can bring it for 1-2 week & if found OK then buy it else return it.

i am planning get it on this weekend & if found it mechanically ok then i will pay money in 1 week.

& i have to buy new petrol can in next 6-7 months, i can also avail exchange bonus [lol]. even some cars have exchange bonus more then 30 K [evil]

As i will keep my cars very clean & mechanically perfect so i think have to spent some money on it, i hope if i spent 10k then it will resolve most of issue with car. (as it does not have much issue as of now [:)])

once i got it, i will share pics & details of car.

Just go ahead why are you waiting? As nano spares are very cheap. Clutch overhaul costs some 2k!! That's it.... nothing to worry. Use it for 6 months after you can sell it for at least 50k!! If i was at your place i would buy it already.

Car looks fine in the pics, and for 30k it is really a steal. Check service history at ASS and look out for insurance claims if any, as it *might* be an accidental car if going for so cheap at this condition.

Congrats in advance.

Thanks Bro
i take it to mechanic, he says car is mechanically ok & all panels are original, no accident repair or repaint job done. some issue is there, like one wheel cylinder is leaking, cabin light not working, AC knob missing, car bonnet is rusted so need to replace.

out of all these i just fixed wheel cylinder, for remaining i will take it to mechanic next weekend.

Over all car drives very well & fit for my purpose. i have driven it for 150km this weekend. (feel relaxed in it in congested traffic as compare to my dzire & Ertiga [:D])

Go for the car. It will hardly cost you anything to repair the things you have mentioned. Rust inside bonnet is common in few Nanos. I would have bought the car straight away. I can even now if I am offered the same deal here in Pune.

Let me repeat: Its a steal deal :stupid:

Do PM me if you need any help. We have a Nano owners group in whatsapp who can assist you.

Yes i have finalize the deal, after all minor repair work & renewal of insurance it will cost me around 36K. engine is in very good condition, while body needing work as have rust in boot & bonnet, door need alignment. over all car is good in this price, i will keep it for 6 month then can again sell it for around 35K. & best thing is that my father is happy to get a car for learning purpose [:D] & they want to keep it for long time.

I am thankful to all of you who give me valuable suggestions to get a good AC car in price less then that of a 100cc bike. [clap]

After check up i have finalize deal in 95K & took delivery today.
