I own a ZXI for a few months now and I am totally recommending it to anyone with 10L budget in terms of VFM
. Evidently all its competitors have already bowed down to it i.e. Honda Mobilio, Chevy Enjoy etc. lets not compare it to Innova which is a different segment altogether.
I have a family of 4 adults (including my parents), 1 kid, 1 dog and I travel frequently between my farm in Himachal and Chandigarh.
As far as highways are concerned this car is still a delight to drive with full load and both rows of AC on. I fold up the 3rd row for the dog to have more space along with at least 3 mid sized bags. Yes, you feel the car asking for more RPM on the hills, but that's acceptable on full load for any MPV. For plain roads it roars just as good. Max 5th gear gives you over 25+ kmpl on most highways (overall 17.5 kmpl).
For city, the pickup for petrol version is far better than the diesel variant as it takes turbo to kick in at 2k rpm for the DI engines. Petrol is certainly quick for the city @ 13.5 kmpl. ABS
handles it well. The comfort level is really good and I am very pleased with the sound proofing, the only noise you may not appreciate is the tyres,
I plan to upgrade to Michelin's. People complain of lack of better headlight bulbs but I feel that is subjective, and the bulbs can be upgraded to aftermarket ones.
The seating is quite flexible with very few cars you get an option of sliding 2nd row. I wish to disagree with people who complain about third row being cramped. I have used it for 2 adults invariably and if you compare it to any other car in its segment the thigh support is far better.
I think with the Maruti network and navigation, rear view cam, 2nd row AC, flexible seating and efficient drive train I would highly recommend Ertiga to anyone.
