Your new set of HRS alloys with steel also look great :). But I still see you having a soft top? Isnt it a bit of concern while parking in public places?
Thanks icecool :-)
Regarding safety, here are the different scenarios - 1>I take the Thar to office where safety is not a concern.
2> I seldom take it to public parking spaces within the city. When we go to the hills we usually do it non-stop. As you might be aware, Sikkim has a negative crime rate. So once we reach there security is hardly a concern. We went to Arunachal in a soft top Thar as well and had no issues with security whatsoever.
3> For all other places where we think security might be a concern we take the Bolero.

Bolero is an awesome vehicle but it will never match the looks of a Thar. I have a Bolero LX 4WD and I absolutely love it. It is a no-nonsense vehicle that can go everywhere. But it is a pain to drive on the open highways where people overtake me left right and center. With just 63 Bhp it is not a fun vehicle to drive like the 105 Bhp Thar. In the hills though the Di engine of the Bolero makes up with its low end torque and easy drive-ability. This is strictly my opinion, the Armada looked better than the Bolero. Here are few pics of my Bolero taken at different times. Hope it is ok to post them. If not, mods please delete them.
