I am not sure or confident with what the link has mentioned. You can take mechanic with you to check the condition.

You haven't mentioned the budget, car type, purpose, monthly usage you are looking for. Please list down all your requirements and visit local Used car market.

Caution : *Buying a very old car as for first time may be gamble if you are not well educated in car mechanics.

yeah even i would say that as it is a taxi. it would have run its course and thats the reason why the person is selling it. and a TATA INDICA comes with its own problems. so my suggestion would be stay away. if your monthly running is less than 500kms and your budget is also less. check for used petrol cars. also if you are the type who dont like M800's then search for ZEN, ESTEEM 98 onwards model, Santro after 2000 model. you should get these cars under a lac and will have all the luxury like a/c, PS,PW.

these are some trusted names in online used vehicle section check them and find your dream car. However check in the forum regarding the points to be checked while buying a used car. and im sure you will get through it.
