To each his own sirji. I agree on every point of yours but what doesn't matter to you, does a lot to me - simple. Different people - different priorities.

The top end of City
The razor sharp handling of Fiesta 1.6 S
The rock solid ride and handling of Linea T-Jet
All of them are 'seldom', in fact even less than 'seldom' checked by the regular car drivers(or even you) and that's what makes Verna a better car as it has good low end for regular driving, feather light steering and clutch and fantastic low speed ride with a very soft suspension(I am sure you can't disagree on any of the three facts mentioned). Hence I am not interested in getting into any debate that is not going to give any results.

That's great buddy, with a higher running you need a car with low maintenance and high peace of mind. I hope I need not to mention what car I am talking of. BTW
, when you can go for Polo(I guess you wanted rear seat space too) then why not Fiesta? A way better driver's car with more driving comfort than both the choices mentioned above.
