I am deciding not to go for the car, thanks to your kind guidance. SX4 AT seems to be not a good product.
My regards to all.
I had a very bad experience with First Choice. Double check on the warranty / guarantee terms
I bought my first car from them in 2003 and had to sell within an year. When I did TD of Accent DLE (yes, DLE. Only very few cars on the road), I heard humming noise which they agreed was coming from AC and agreed to rectify before sale. But the noise persisted on sale, for which I was told - they couldn't fix it on time and will settle the bills when it is serviced in Hyundai dealership.
In Hyundai dealership idler bearing was replaced and noise reduced a bit which First Choice agreed to pay. But I was told majority of noise is from AC compressor which needs to be replaced, which was promptly refused by First Choice. The top guys at Chennai from were I bought the car were of no help and were giving all sorts of stupid excuses.
Since I determined, after a lot of struggle and writing to all top bosses (CEO, CFO etc), they agreed to get the compressor serviced - which again lasted only for few months. Condenser also conked in the mean time. Though there were no mechanical issues or other problems with the car, AC issues kept popping back time and again. Decided to part with the car and get a new one after one year of struggle.
Since this incident happened 10 years before, there are chances of them making amends. But still exercise caution with warranty terms and get to know specifics before sign on the dotted line.
