(All the details below are just my opinion and is my perception , this is no way intended to hurt anyone's feelings.)
Today visited Automotives (R.P road) and test drived the xuv 500 along Necklace road. The staff was very professional in approach than their other branch. Almost all my queries were answered . They were very eager offer test drive . There were some bloopers though. A lady sales advisor was assigned who said xuv500 has 7 speed
I asked her in a sarcastic manner about how check that , to which she replied 6 farward + 1 reverse = 7 speed
Soon after reviewing the details she offered test drive .
So I made some points to check, thanks to TAI
which I checked on my mobile.
Details of TD vehicle :-
XUV 500 W8
ODO 2866 km
Test drive offered - 8 kms
Route - necklace road and lower tankbund
Man this car is awesome to drive especially in 2nd&3rd gear
Now comes the handling and ride quality, to be frank
ride quality was not that good i checked each and every manhole bump and potholes
at both low(25-40 kmph) and high speeds(60-75) kmph.
the ride was bouncy and my body was having jiggles as if i sat on those exercise machines which reduces body fat
to sum up at slow speeds the ride was bouncy and tossing occupants but at high speeds though ride was not bouncy but body muscles move as if you are sitting on a weight reducing machine (jiggles) .
another thing that i noticed is , when the car is stand still with your foot on break pedal(pressed) , now when you turn the steering wheel to either left or right there is feeling as if some thing is rubbing the pedal . this is very mild and not observed while driving , i request xuv owners to tell if they have noticed it. however my final conclusion about ride quality will be after checking safari storme in the same route.
