I want a nice city hatchback car that I will drive around in city traffic mostly and sometimes on highway.

Since I live in Delhi the AC is of utmost importance to me.

All being said I would like to get the car which gives me my money's worth.

Feel free to add your own inputs but please reply with a comprehensive answer, stating your reason to pick the said car.

Thank you so much for your help!

Re: Final Decision Help!

I would shortlist two cars - Swift and Grand i10, both of them being very capable cars. However, among these two, I would recommend Swift for the reason that its diesel engine is excellent. Yes, boot space is on lower side but then as you said, you need the car mainly for the city driving, thus, you will not feel this negative factor much. In service and spare parts availability, I think both are good.

You know the swift was my first preference but the fact that an updated one will be in the market in a few months (possibly) will render my purchase outdated. Besides the small things like keyless entry and the start stop button make a difference to me.

Hi
You said AC as important leave Grand i10. It has only 60cc AC which is similar to eon.

My choice Ritz. Almost same as swift. You can read more about it on the net.

Re: Final Decision Help!

For long term hasslefree maintenance, go for Maruti/Hyundai. They have very good service network. Between these two, I would say go for Maruti since that would be VFM.

I don't want to cconfuse you since your thread name contains "Final" word. [;)] Still, if you want tremendous VFM, high quality ASS, go for Indica Vista. Feature, space, comfort everything will be best in class. Engine same as Swift. Tatas are really good these days and if you are like me who doesn't get irritated by question like "Why Tata?", go for it. You may refer to the thread:

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/automotive-shopper/16405-tata-manza-vs-hyundai-i20.html (read it as Indica Vista vs i20 since Manza without boot is Vista)

If you are allergic with the "Tata" name, refer to the following threads:
