We did own a Fiat Sienna Diesel for an year - bought second hand from a friend since I had very high regards for FIAT (then). After taking delivery got her serviced, changed tyres and got interior / exterior detailing done. The feel of the car and how it drove on the road was just awesome. But it was short lived.
The car's AC problem recurred & nightmare started. We would have made innumerable trips to FASS for fixing the AC - but when they fixed one, something else would pop up in 1 month max. In the process they introduced some electrical issue, which started bursting fuse after fuse, head lamps etc. There was never a week the car ran without problem. After an year, decided we had enough decided to sell the car. It took almost 3 - 4 months to sell the car, that too almost half the price.
No doubt. It is a great car and you get true feeling of driving European car, which you can never get in a Japanese or Korean car. But I will still stand by what I mentioned earlier - they need to strengthen FASS & have clear strategy.
I had only one personal experience with FIAT. But when I get in to any forum vast majority of folks are sharing similar experience. Reality could be much different - but what matters more is the perception / reputation FIAT has in India. I am only talking about this aspect not the car as such.. or even the reality
