I have 4 lac budget. My usage is hardly 200-300 kms per month. I need a car which is well built and looks good in society. All of my near n dear's have big cars. so that is the reason i am going for ivtec. what u suggest?

Go for the City ivtec,its a no nonsense car,punchy motor and a looker. Update once you have bought/finalized.Good luck.

Well, if this car had to be my only car, then I'd get myself a City - a no-nonsense car with great looks and service support(very imp when buying a used car), though I doubt you can land upon a decent one in your budget. My second choice would have been a Cedia. Simply a driver's car and a great performer and could be had cheap. My third preference would be Fiesta 1.6 S. Nothing beats this if you could find a less abused (read used) example.

Also, if you are open to hatch options, then may I suggest you look for Jazz, plenty of less mileage examples are around within your budget.
