My recommendation would be Vento for following reasons:
* Amazing engine - both in terms of power, fuel efficiency
* German reliability - truly built like a tank
* Exterior and interior styling
* Best in class ride quality in good bad roads
* Longer service intervals (15K)
* More snob value than any Japanese and Korean cars
I was in hunt for new sedan / UV some time back and had test driven almost all sedans you have listed. Contrary to popular belief I found (I am not generalizing) Vento's back bench to be more comfortable than that of Sunny and Scala. Also, the interiors & exteriors of Sunny / Scala felt obese to me. Vento on the other hand is sleek and more practical - clean lines both on the inside and outside.
Verna is a good car too & come loaded - but the rear suspension is on the softer side and hence vertical movement might be disturbing on bumpy roads. This problem persists on Verna from earlier generation which used for 110k.
And the new vento comes completely loaded as well with all features one would expect in a Sedan of this size including Bluetooth, climate control, rear AC vents, leatherite seats etc. Last but not the least, amazing deals are running at present.
Between Vento and Rapid, there's nothing much to choose. But I prefer Vento because it comes loaded and more classic in terms of aesthetics as well. A word of caution - both Vento and Rapid could be expensive to maintain in long run (> 80 - 100K), since parts like clutch, turbo etc could be more expensive in german cars.
