Sujit, why no Xuv in the list, did you checked that car as well, the 4x2 would be in your budget as well along with strome.
Ertiga , strome, Duster all are in different leagues of vehicles, what kind of car you are looking for just a people carrier with ease planted ride, Ertiga makes more sense, but if you are looking for SUV then you have safari, duster, Xuv to look at.

Ertiga would be the best bet for you as per your requirements.
It fits in your budget, has decent space, can sit 7, has good performance and mileage and is easy to manuver around city.

With ford ES hoopla , I feel MSIL have no option but to hurry . But I am not sure about seating capacity.
Trax - I have personally sat in the car and it is not a 7 seater ]
Surfer said that he is ok with jump seats , aren't they available with Trax ?
If no , then storme is only option.
Xuv - not in budget
What about W 4 with stone guard ?

Let me add some further confusion

I would go for an year old Innova.
Good idea, I always keep an eye on old cars.So if I can find any then I will consider this also.

Sujit, why no Xuv in the list, did you checked that car as well, the 4x2 would be in your budget as well along with strome.
As mentioned by raja, XUV is out of budget. Otherwise I like it man.
Ertiga , strome, Duster all are in different leagues of vehicles, what kind of car you are looking for just a people carrier with ease planted ride, Ertiga makes more sense, but if you are looking for SUV then you have safari, duster, Xuv to look at.
I said earlier any option is ok for me.Just I need 7 seater (Jump seats also welcome)

Ertiga would be the best bet for you as per your requirements.
It fits in your budget, has decent space, can sit 7, has good performance and mileage and is easy to manuver around city.
I agree , and its on my list on Top now [:)]

ES and Duster should be out of List, they are never a proper 7 seater vehicle.
Scorpio, XUV, Strome, Ertiga, Innova should be in initial list
Humm , Innova is out of budget.

Dont you have anything from mahindra's stable
I think bolero, Scorpio and Xylo fit in my budget, But No from other family members.Personally I like bolero.

Let us know , features , safty features , ride vs comfort requirements , also age and heights , health status of 7 occupants so as to get some fruitful solution on your confused state of mind
features: PS, PW,AC and basic music system is must.
safty features:ABS is must.
ride vs comfort requirements:Nothing specific.
age and heights: Mix age from 1 year to 65. Height is no concern Max 5.7.
health status: Average build.

Since, not only you but also we all have gathered enough info on XUV , Scorpio , storme , xylo , ertiga, we need elaborate further on that . Tata Safari Storme Vs Rest of the Competition
Maruti Ertiga VS Mahindra Xylo
Thanks, I know all these threads.

Since you have lot of time till Diwali ,3 new car launch auspicious muhurats are there during the hunt time , keep eyes on XA Alpha , chevy trax , Nissan duster http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/fo...ist-print.html
GM Enters in Mini-SUV Race with Chevrolet Trax
Chevrolet Trax Coming To India. Confirmed.
Mahindra Developing Compact SUV To Take On Ecosport
Nothing will launch till diwali 2013

Storme - in budget
Scorpio - In Budget

If seven people will be travelling regularly I would suggest you go for the Ertiga purely because it has a proper third row of seats,it will be more comfortable for the elders also. But if you will be travelling with 7 people rarely then Storme is better.
Nothing match the people carrying capacity(in comfort) of the Innova,if possible stretch your budget or look for a second hand one.Toyota cars are generally very reliable and robust so finding one in good condition will be easy.On another point why don't you look at the Aria. There were numerous discounts ranging upto 1.5-2 lacs on it.Although I have never experienced one,but from the reviews it is clear it is one of the best highway cruiser and is more safe then the Ertiga.

Out of storme and Ertiga , road presence is a decisive factor in Pune , I have seen many times how bikers and auto wallas get sprayed away so as to make road for the Storme and Dicor safari too.Truckers also wait for a while till storme moves ahead .
My friend owns Ertiga and it lacks the road presence as compared to storme, also rear looks punny.

Parking is definite headche for both in Pune.
In your case , If you are more concerned about FE then nothing can beat Ertiga.

However ,AFA , ASS is concerned ERTIGA -fiat spares/consumables (fuel filters , oils , clutch parts )are likely to be costly as compared to Storme 's home made engine and everything. This assumption is on the basis of info gathered while comparing MANZA spares vs storme spares snce Manza & Ertiga have similar Fiat engine. And needs further reserch.

Please elaborate on your driving style in future, are you bored of taking extra care on speed breakers andy pot holes since you are driving Zen since many years.
If yes , then go for storme , it crushes the pune speed breakers like cigarette buds are crushed under shoes as per my experience .

It is ertiga advantage if
If you don't want to leave the sedate and bit careful driving habit required for zen.

BTW , what's your age ? ,young people would get more pleasure from Storme as compared to Ertiga provided that they are are sacrifice the FE benefit.
Thanks, I know all these threads.

Parking is definite headche for both in Pune.
That's not issue for me, in case of house and office at least.

hummm

Agree, my friend owns safari and his opinion is quite +ve about tata ASS.

Yes , I do travel to my village where road quality is not that good.
For first few years I do care about pot holes while driving zen but now I don't :stupid:

If yes , then go for storme , it crushes the pune speed breakers like cigarette buds are crushed under shoes as per my experience .
+1

It is ertiga advantage if
If you don't want to leave the sedate and bit careful driving habit required for zen.
If you have zen then it doesn't mean that you should be a sedate driver [:D] But yes Zen GC is horrible so one has to drive care fully on bad roads.

BTW , what's your age ? ,young people would get more pleasure from Storme as compared to Ertiga provided that they are are sacrifice the FE benefit.

That's the DNA of 'Punekar' [evil]

7 people will be occasionally
