10k for petrol polo is still high. My first service bill was 5.5k and I am not expecting much variance in coming services too.
Excluding oil? I drove 15k and never needed even an oil top up in my petrol polo.

@swift&furious:- Thank you for your valuable information. Can you please suggest me if in case there is a problem with polo in high way will any normal mechanic can rectify it?
i20 on road price in Bangalore comes to around 6 lacs (as per carwale.com). i20 is a good option but fuel efficiency figures reported are quite low. Two of my friends have i20 petrol and they always crib about low FE (around 8-10 kmpl). i20 magna will not come in with too many features, something for which hyundai is actually known for. So, getting a hyundai i20 lower models will not be worthy in my opinion.
I don't think that a mechanic would be able to rectify any complex problem in polo in an instance of breakdown. It is no maruti or Hyundai. VW is still new in the market. Still I would suggest you not to worry, you always have road side assistance for all modern car which is just a call away.

It has no road presence nor any appeal.
Front is good but the rear is made too quirky. Probably one needs time to let it grow on you. Road presence it has got, but for the quirkiness and newness at the rear.

This statement literally means the car would not be used much either for highway or city. This is what I understand, irrespective of what Vinodh actually wanted to say.
