But if you wanna prove winner of any conversation please be noted that i am not in that race and I don't have an answer to you

| Re: Which Diesel Sedan for 10 Lacs? Update: Booked Sunny today! 2013 Bronze Grey diesel XL;
Final OTR: 9.97 L
Freebies: basic mudflaps, floor maps, teflon coating and after a lot of haggling Reverse Parking sensors; I tried hard for fog lamps but teh sales guys wouldn't budge. Gave up eventually.
I wanted to wait till ecosport launch but the date is not yet confirmed and i fear there may be some excise duty this time around in the budget.
(Already a proposal for partial deregulation of diesel prices! bad timing??) |

| Re: Which Diesel Sedan for 10 Lacs? Congrats , mw, for the new car booking, and more for the info and reserch based decision.
It would be better if you go for reverse cam cum sensors, becoz sensors alone give red signals even if there is grass in the reverse way, also rain droplets mixed with mud give false signals and that leads to unnecessary limitation of the reversing manuvour.You can swap the freebies accordingly.
Also , let us know about the ICE OE. |

| Re: Which Diesel Sedan for 10 Lacs? Thanks all for your wishes;
Music_Swift; i checked out the scala RXL also . Its much better looking but the 2013 version is approx 55 K more than the Sunny; For the 2012, they were giving free insurance(worth 33K). But i decided to stick to sunny.
Renault guy was trying to say that the one sunny is N9 engine and one on Scala is the real K9 (imported, refined and all of that). I did not buy that argument though; It is the same 1486cc 8V old school engine with same power and torque characteristics. If scala costed 30 K more, i would have gone for it; I would have got Alloys, some chrome interiors and a better derriere but 55K is a bit too much. So decided to give it a skip |

| Re: Which Diesel Sedan for 10 Lacs? @Superbad: I will take delivery only in Feb;
Folks: One question. I was told that 2013 maufuactured cars are registered only after march? Is that true? The skoda rep was telling me that there is a certain letter that all OEMs send to RTOs every year authorizing them to register vehicles made that year. Until then i would have to run with a temporary registration. Is this true or bunkum? The skoda rep seems to be suggesting that nissan is passing 2012 make car as 2013 make-- which cannot be the case as i will always check the VIN number. Please enlightenme if you know anything about this |

| Re: Which Diesel Sedan for 10 Lacs? There is no such law,an 2012 manufactured car would show as 2012 car only registered on 2013 so and so month and day, Registeration process has nothing to do with the manufacturing process, they would have the details of your cars manufacturing date,day month and year which would be shown on your registeration book/smart card. |

| Re: Which Diesel Sedan for 10 Lacs? Hey folks, scouting for insurance now. The dealer quoted 32600 for bumper to bumper. Made a few calls and i found Royal Sundaram and TATA AIG to be quoting the least
Royal Sundaram:
IDV= ex show room price
Premium: 23200 ; Cashless, zero dep(unlimited claims) with road side assistance
Tata AIG:
IDV= ex show room price
Premium: 23800 ; Cashless, zero dep(unlimited claims) with road side assistance
ICICI: same as features as above premium: 31600
HDFC Ergo: same features as above; premium 32400
Am i missing something here? Is there a catch with sundaram or tatas? Why is there a difference of 8 or 9K? please advise |
