Not much in to ICE set up but i currently have Boston Acoustics GTA-1005 in our innova and its really good and gives crisp hearing, but our swift carried Image Dynamics i5800, which i later changed/downgraded to JBL 2 channel for descent perfomance after seeing my friends's car but was never a let down

Its more of to check with ICE set up folks, and also very much specific to what genre of music is in your playlist

Thanks swift&furious for your inputs.
I thought of Boston but it's a little over budget for me. The only reason I am adding Amplifier is that I want to have crisp and clear music not just to add "Boom Boom" to show off. About your JBL 2 channel amplifier, how much it costed you and what is the model that you chose for your Swift?

Its JBL 2 channel amp not much sure on the model would have to go down the seat to check it however i remember it costed me over 4K from JBL showroom which i picked it myself to ensure its genuine

Boston was able to source if from dubai during my brother's last visit to india, however its rich and really worth the buck, you can also opt for Audio dynamics my friend went for it and its compartively crisp to hear, more or less i think its more to do with the tuning[:D]

I will keep JBL as back up just in case if my friend is not able to bring the amp from US then I can go for JBL as cost looks OK (around 4K for good amp is very reasonable)

Hello Guys,

Got Rockford Fosgate R400-4D 400 Watt Full-Range Class-D 4-Channel Amplifier from US. Also got the wiring kit of KnuKonceptz - 4 Guage with the Amplifier.

Now, I need to add SubWoofer to my setup. Need suggestion on which sub woofer I should go with?

Also need suggestion on setup options

1. Connect Front Components and Sub woofer with 4 Channel Amp. Keep rear speakers connected to HU
2. Add a bridge to 4 channels and connect Sub woofer, front Components and Rear speakers to Amp.
3. Connect ONLY Front Components and Rear Speakers now and then add sub woofer after some time (cost cutting option)

Please suggest.

First of all congrats for new amplifier. In case of subwoofers you have many options like pioneer, sony, jbl, hertz, polk, polkmomo, cerwin vega, kicker etc etc depending on your budget.
As for the setup options, i would consider the first option since it is necessary to power the components and the woofer well for good sound and avoid distortions. You can always add a 2 channel amplifier later to power the rear speakers if needed.

For Sub woofer, I have limited budget of around 7-8 k. One of the option is to add bass tube of 1000- 1100 w. Will the amplifier I got support these subs? Also request you and gurus in forum to suggest the sub options for this setup.

In that budget you will get a good woofer. You will get most of the brands i have mentioned. 1000-1100w you are mentioning is only the max power. You have to check the RMS power (actual output). Since you are connecting the components and the woofer, please see to it that the RMS of both is well within the RMS of the amplifier.
I am personally using a 12" polkmomo woofer in a sealed box connected to a jbl mono channel amplifier in my swift and trust me i am more than happy. I had to get the damping done since rattling noises started because of the woofer and the components. But now its Nirvana! [:)]

Checked the Rockford RF12 tube. The RMS of these woofers is 250W. My amp is 400W. I hope this setup should be OK.

Skoda Rapid - running power to amp

Hello there,

I am in the process of upgrading the sound system in my Skoda Rapid (2013) and am wondering if there is an easy way of getting power from the battery to the boot. Do any of you know if there are any pre-made holes in the wall to the engine compartment, or do you have to drill one?

Thank you for your help
