Overhead LCD For Maruti Wagon-R

Hello Guys,

I just booked my Wagon R vxi 2017 model. As i small kids, their request was to install a overhead LCD DVD Player, as they can enjoy watching movies, when going for long drive. I have few questions:

1/ Is it right to setup LCD DVD player and attach to built in speakers? will this new installation screw up my warranty?

2/ If all good, which is the best model?

Please advice.

I suggest LCD on headrest rather than over head displays for below reasons
1) Over head screen obstruct the IRVM view
2) They tend to vibrate a lot

Now coming to your question,

Yes, you can. Audio output from DVD Player will be fed to the OE HU through Aux. Warranty shouldn't get affected is the installation doesn't tamper any of the OE wiring.

My budget is around INR 10,000

So, will this budget be good enough for

1. Will i get one LCD or 2 LCD's in the headrest? Am ok with one :-)
2. I need USB slot (which reads mp4, mp3 formats)

Buy a tab , connect it with Bluetooth

Buy a TAB, fit it in the tab holder which can be placed in the head rest. You can connect the audio in the AUX slot. I have used the similar way in my fiesta.

Dear all,

Finally, i have my car and my LCD :-)

I went for Nippon 9" DVD Player (Single Screen) fitted behind the seat. The maruti team suggested not to go for overhead screen.

The Nippon plays DVD, USB, SD Card etc - Mp3, MP4 etc. It costed me INR 11,500/-
