Re: music system for alto lxi

Your selected setup is okay. But I would say go for other brands like JBL or Pioneer, which are more or less similar in pricing as compared to Sony and are better in terms of SQ.

For HU, any 1DIN HU with basic Aux, USB and FM features would cost you around Rs. 3500-4000. You can look for JVC and Pioneer units, or even Blaupunkt. For front speakers, go for JBL or Pioneer 6" coaxial speakers which will cost around 2.5k for a decent pair. For rear, go for round coaxials (same as front) or go for 6x9 coaxials which will cost 3.5k. Basic wiring will be around 1k for speakers, and you can set aside another 1k for labour charges, spacers, etc.. Blaupunkt Tokyo or Manchester 110 are good head units. For speakers, look for JBL CS6 or Pioneer G Series.

So, for a 9k maximum budget :

1DIN Headunit - Rs. 3.5k
4 Speakers (Round coaxial) - Rs. 4k
Wiring + Labour, etc. - Rs. 2k

So, I think it is still under your budget (almost).

Okay. So you want to get 6x9 inch coaxials, nice decision.[:D]

Go for Blaupunkt Tokyo 110 or Blaupunkt Manchester 110. If you want a more common brand, go for Pioneer DEHX1890UB or MVHX179UI, but these will cost around 4k or more. JVC KDX120U is the perfect choice, followed by Blaupunkt for your case. Cost is around 3300 bucks.

For speakers, I think Pioneer would be good and under budget. The bass will be on a higher side but you can invest the amount saved in rear speakers for front speakers.

So the setup according to me should be -

JVC HU (the one I suggested) - Rs. 3300
Pioneer TSR6950S Rear Coaxials - Rs. 2100
Pioneer TSC600IN Front Components - Rs. 2800
Parcel Tray, Labour, Wiring, Spacers - Rs. 2000 (You can bring this to 1500 after negotiation)

Total - Rs. 10200 Something. And you will get an awesome sounding car. If still out of budget, go for Pioneer coaxials for front like TSR1650S for Rs. 1800 and the total would be Rs. 9200.[:)]

But before ordering anything, confirm from your installer if 6.5" speakers fit in the front door or not!

Do check this combo out if you are okay with JVC.

Similar one for JBL speakers (4 speakers, 2 tweeters, decent setup)

6.5" components will only fit after cutting the doorpads. And for your ICE setup, I will post on your thread in some time. [:)]
