Re: Need advice for buying bike.

Hi, Between 1.5 - 3 lakhs there are plenty of options. You want a Naked or Fairing bike??

Naked Bikes :
1 ) Ktm Duke200
2) Ktm Duke 390
3) Bmw g310r(launching in 2016 Mid below 3 lakhs)
4) Benelli Tnt 300 (3.2 lakhs)
5) Mahindra Mojo.

Faired bikes :
1) ktm Rc200
2) Ktm rc390
3) Cbr 250r(Great value)
4) Benneli 300 faired version(launching in 2016 first quarter).

What are your requirements?
In naked if you want tourer go for Mahindra mojo or if you want powerful bike go for Duke 390. But my suggestion would be BMW G310R.

In Faired If you want tourer Go for Cbr250r or if you want a track tool go for rc390.

Please mention your requirements so that we can suggest you suitable motorcycle!!
Cheers!!

I require a faired bike. I saw in some website that Ninja is planning to launch 250SL next year. Is there any truth in this news. If yes how much price can we expect for that?

I prefer only looks. Power and other things come later.

Don't know when Kawasaki 250SL launches. It is similar engine to Kawasaki z250 which is available in india at 3.11 ex-showroom. You can expect 20 or 30k more than z250.
many websites shows estimated price 2+ lakhs but don't trust that. Kawasaki won't launch bikes under 3 lakhs because of our india taxes.
Try 2016 KTM RC 390 or HONDA CBR 250R.

Re: Need advice for buying bike.

So the prize expected for 250SL would be more than my budget. So I may end up on KTM RC200 or RC390.

This is my first bike of this kind and I hope it would be better to start with RC200 now. What is your opinion in this case? Jump from a 150cc Pulsar (my current bike) to a "powerful390" or just 200???

I am an NRI and I will be using this only for one month in a year. Is it wise spending more on 390... Is it really worth.. or 200 is enough??

Well it depends on you. When you're in india do you ride your bike most in traffic?? If yes then RC200 Is the bike for you. If you go for touring or HIGHWAY rides then RC390 For you. Yes RC390 gives pleasure. Jumping from 150cc to 390cc is not a problem(you just give little throttle input than your current bike for intial few days after that you'll get used to it) if you upgrade just to a 200 it won't feel nothing special but a Little powerful than your current 150cc. If you avoid 390cc you can look at CBR 250R it will be 100cc upgrade for you.
Btw, I have Jumped from Cbr250r to Z800(800cc).

Yes it is really worth spending on RC390 because it gets Slipper clutch(which is not available in KAWASAKI NINJA 300), Metzelers tyres(which is not available in NINJA 300 & YAMAHA R3),Up side down forks, many more ETC....
It's every penny worth spending on RC390.

Now 2016 RC390 being launched in 2016 February.

Re: Need advice for buying bike.

Thanks for the information. Now, as I have enough time before buying this, I decided to wait till then to check for the new arrivals, if any. As of now, I am on RC200 or RC390.

Hey Midhun, What became of your decision? keep us posted bro.

PS: if you havent bought one, I would advise you to wait it out since BMW G310 R has confirmed October launch date.

Peace!
