Hi guys. My uncle wishes to buy a new bike considering the CD-Dawn he runs is too small for him.The bike preferred is in the 150 or 150 + cc range. Budget is about 80 thousand considering EMI payments but the lighter on the pockets the better it gets. The shortlisted contenders:

*Yamaha FZ-16
*Bullet 350
*Hero Honda Hunk

My uncle is tall so the bike has to be comfortable for him to ride (He is 6ft 2" as far as i can guess).

Do pour in your valuable comments and feel free to add more options.A good bike coupled with Diwali discounts should do just fine!

80k wont be enough for a bullet 350.

HUNK would be great. FZ wont work for his height,he would feel a bit odd on it.

A bullet rider will feel like he is riding a cycle or something when on hunk & apache.Specially Apache because it is too low for a 6.2 guy.

I think he should go for a brand new Bullet again.
Karizma-R,Pulsar 220(if he is fine with it,many people hate bajaj)should be the other options.

What is it going to be used for will play a important role in deciding.

a bullet lover will never be happy in any other bike, so if he is ready to extend his budge, tell him to go for a bullet.

otherwise, since he is 6'2" tall (my height), the FZ & apache will be uncomfortable for him. tell him to look at the pulsars & karizma instead.

Hi Arun,

If you have budget around 1.1Lakh then go for twin Spark Bullet !

If you want to stick to 80K then Karizma will be better choice.

Personally i dont like pulsar because of uncomfortable pillion rider position especially 220s :(

RE Electra will be available for 80k.

Apache will be extremely uncomfortable for a tall rider, besides the rider will look odd too.

Consider Karizma too, but wait new model is around the corner.

Count me in for Bajaj haters Neil.He already rides a CD-Dawn and has adjusted. The problem lies in parking, considering the massive size of the Bullet. It never would be towed away thanks to the same. The bike would be used to commute from Chembur(Mumbai) to Nariman Point.Maneuvering the Bullet in rush hour traffic would be quite a pain.He was pretty comfortable on the FZ but is thinking of dropping it just because every other Tom Dick and Harry has it.

Waiting for more comments to pour in!
