Useless, worthless and reliability-less!
Pulsars do degrade quickly and the older 200 DTS-i is the mother of all. My first motorcycle(after CD Dawn which I learnt riding on) was the 200 itself and I must say that I regretted buying it for a major part of my ownership which lasted around 51k kms.
If you are planning to go for a used motorcycle then better keep away from any high mileage Pusar. Pulsars are good for 50-55k kms max.
If you can find a good example with 25-30k kms on odo then its fine, else better leave it.
Pulsar 150 is one gem of a motorcycle with the best compromise between all the factors. It performs well, offers decent riding comfort, offers good FE and has low priced spares. In fact, the spares of Pulsars are the lowest priced ones in their respective segments.
Go for one with your eyes closed, only if you find a decent example with low mileage. Even 30-35k is also fine for a good Pulsar 150.
Avoid Pulsar 135 LS too, it isn't a motorcycle with performance of 150 and FE of 125; instead, it is a motorcycle with performance of 125 with FE of 150. Going for P150 is a way better option. My Suggestion:
Bajaj Discover 125(I gen, the one which had silver colored alloys) or Discover 135. You can find good examples(only if you search) for decent prices and that is quite a hassle free motorcycle.
Else look forward for the best, buy a Hero Honda Splendor/ CD Dawn/ Passion/ CD deluxe. These are hell reliable 100cc motorcycles and their mechanicals also do last long.
