These are the 2014 YTD figures for my two cars. AC on 95% of the time
Tata ARIA Pleasure (May2014 model)
Fuel Economy (avg) - 12.50
Fuel Economy (min) - 10.02
Fuel Economy (max) - 17.54 (Difficult to believe ARIA giving 17.5, but this was complete highway run of 250 KM between Pune -Solapur at 80KMPH! Did a tankful at Pune while starting and another tankful at Solapur!)
Total Distance Driven this year- 6219
Fuel Purchased - 561.04 Litres
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maruti Suzuki WagonR Lxi (August2004 model)
Fuel Economy (avg) - 13.62
Fuel Economy (min) - 11.96
Fuel Economy (max) - 16.83
Total Distance Driven this year - 9462
Fuel Purchased - 718.6 Litres

| Re: Fuel Efficiency Figures of Your Cars Xcent Petrol - FE maintained at 14.5 km/l with my city-highway(70/30) usage. I am impressed as even with lot of clutch driving involved in a bad patchy road of about 10+ kms(2-way) and some traffic, I can see such good figures. |

| Re: Fuel Efficiency Figures of Your Cars 2009 Swift petrol 40K crossed
Giving 15KM City and max has give 21KM on coorg tour(with full AC on).
Now Highway ride is giving 17KM with full ac on. The millage is greatly depends on Petrol quality as well. If I put BP or Shell it sure gives more than 17KM Highway.

fe- 12.9 kmpl. :-( | Dont expect the i10 to give more FE figures then this.I havent got above 14.6 on highways yet with sedate driving on my i10.
Though my friend was able to get around 16 on highways on his i10. |

Do you get the throttle body , injectors cleaned at service ? |

Though my friend was able to get around 16 on highways on his i10. | only once in life I've gotten 18.9 kmpl with driving around 40kmph in village roads. that's actually surprising.
however such poor fe makes this smaller car is actually more costly to run than xuv 500 Quote:

Do you get the throttle body , injectors cleaned at service ? | let's go over some details.
the speed limit for my wife is 60kmph. she usually cruises around 55-60. I ensure she uses right gear and does not ride the clutch. I also suggest her upshifts near 1500-1800 rpm. the car runs always with ac as we have dust allergy.
the odo is just 24k kms and I got all the servicing as you said on 22k kms including oil and Filter change, suspension overhaul. fuel pump and carb clean.. |

OMG, its an entirely different story from which I got to hear from other swift owners.
My A-star with much lesser engine capacity gives around the same figures with less usage of AC..

| Re: Fuel Efficiency Figures of Your Cars Update on my Ertiga's efficiency after recent tank-fill after Kumbakonam trip.
19.3 kmpl with midnight highway drive and some 20% city driving.
Mostly 80 kmph but some parts only 50-60 kmph due to rain at midnight.
LUV forever! |

| Re: Fuel Efficiency Figures of Your Cars well i have a TATA SIERRA 1997 model
its gives a mileage of 11.5 in cities without A/C ( A/c Needs repair so its off all the time)
have gotten 15 during drives on highways. if your throttle is between 80-100 km/h i think one can achieve a wonderful FE |

| Re: Fuel Efficiency Figures of Your Cars ^^ that's good numbers, but I guess A/C off is main reason.
Our Verito D2 still gives an astonishing 22km/l in highway and close to 17km/l in pure city conditions. Although it is little bit tough to drive with hard clutch, numbers are un-believable. Good thing is, it is 95% chauffeur driven. :D |

I have a 2008 model with 80k on the odo & have never seen more than 19km/l (middle of the night, no petrol pump had to coast to find one) in its life & been to Coorg countless times.I am quite fussy about fuel quality also.
Are you over inflating your tires or something?? Would like to know whats the secret here. |
