Run flats have tougher sidewalls and some sort of structure internally to keep tyre in inflated-like position for 100km after puncture. After 100km , you have to change the tyre for 20-30k. You can get it repaired like normal tyres if you dont use it for 100km after puncture
In an ideal condition, you can keep filling air in the tyres and go on driving further
But this isnt always applicable for our conditions and a spare tyre is best
Run flats are also stiffer and have harsh ride
