Hello all. There is this squeaking sound coming from the steering column of the Safari everytime I rotate it. I heard a very faint noise a week back and I mentioned the matter to TASS but they ruled it out saying everything is fine. But now the noise increased and I was wondering what could be the issue. Power steering fluid is topped up. Can anyone guess what could be the problem.:(

Lubricate all steering joints and get the power steering belt tension and pulley checked. Most likely its a problem with the latter.

Hi. I am replying after a long time. Sorry for that.! The problem was solved by a local mechanic. The car's horn strip was in contact with the steering column. The horn cover was opened and the horn strip and wire was properly secured. Then the steering column was greased thoroughly. The mechanic took 200/- but did a clean work! Thank you Sam.!

Mods you can discontinue this thread.! Thank you
