Safari Dicor 3.0L Clocked 1.40L Kms. Returns 14-16 Kmpl on Highways if driven sedately and 8-10 Kmpl in city howsoever you drive.
have you performed any mods on your vehicle? 16 is just impossible on 3L . best around 12. even my xuv 500 won't go 16.
My 2013 2.2 Storme
Combined City/highway 11 kmpl AC is on all the time.

lot of safari owners. my ownership review is still pending.
i have done 2 trips as of now
Chennai to mahabalipuram: 110 km. mileage:13.2. ac switched of due to rain. speeds 85 to 100. traffice density was very high
chennai to villupuram and back to chennai: 340 kms. moderate traffic speeds 80 to 90. ac blower set at 1. 6 people in the car. mileage was: 15.5 to 16. changed gears at 2000 rpm. is it right to change the gears at 2000rpm?

you squeezed 16kmpl from a safari.! That's too good.! I have a 2.2 dicor n I generally get an efficiency of 11.5 to 12 kmpl both city and highway.! I have a long trip coming up in the month of July probably. I will surely come up with the figures.!Yes that's perfect to get max out of your safari the max limit is 2500 rpm in any gear..I do shifting at 2700 as I have the race dynamics installed and I drive in P2 mode always..[/QUOTE]
