Hyundai Not Providing ‘Check Engine’ Light

Why is Hyundai not giving CHECK ENGINE LIGHT in Santro Xing 2009 and some other models?

Even Ford Ikon 1.6 2002 and Palio 2002 models don't have Check engine light. It has an MPFi though.

You can give a try by adding a bulb. Usually the manufacturers would remove some small features but they work in the same car in export versions/ variants.
Check if the wire is provided on coupler.

I also saw a thread where the chevy beat base edition has a distance to empty feature after adding a switch on to the circuit.

To my surprise in my 800 the Vehicle speed sensor was not connected at all ! Now I have done it just by adding a screw so that the circuit works.

Even most expensive cars doesn't have a check engine light. Some car manufacturers simply omit these features to keep price to a minimum.
Any way you can still diagnose your cars engine using an OBD scanner, you could get almost all informations associated with the engine in this way .
