Welcome to the automotive nirvana. The Automotive India is a community based on automobiles where everyone, whether with nil or expert knowledge, is welcome to discuss about cars and bikes. The Automotive India is a gathering place founded upon the principles of Honour, Accord and Respect. For us, Honour is to hold in high regard, Accord is harmony and mutual agreement, and Respect is to consider or treat with courtesy. The Automotive India members embrace these tenets both here in our community and in real life. This community is drawn together by virtue of a common interest: The passion for automobiles. We are also a diverse group with many occupations, backgrounds and belief systems. That said, the moderators of The Automotive India wish to promulgate rules designed to protect individual interests, foster community spirit and further the principles that we hold dear.
Policies and Guidelines:
1) Each person is approved to create only one user account on the forum. You are solely held responsible for all the activities made through it.
2) The medium of all the discussions performed inside the forum should be limited to proper English language.
3) Please restrict the usage of SMS / Slang language, uncommon abbreviations, excessive dots and repeated smileys which create the overall forum environment cluttered.
4) Please make an effort to format the posts well by using correct syntax and punctuation marks so that it becomes easy for everyone to understand your message. Use BIU (Bold, Italic, Underline) only if really required.
5) There is no place for disrespect on The Automotive India. Be polite and courteous while having debates. Direct or indirect messages which are arrogant, offensive or threatening in nature will be strictly not tolerated.
6) Marketing or advertising of the services through forum, private messages, signatures, mails etc. is strictly forbidden.
7) The messages which intend to show appreciation to a fellow member must be conveyed through “Reputation System” rather than posting one-liners such as “Thanks” etc.

8) To maintain an educative and healthy ambience for everyone, posting any content that encourages unlawful or any socially unacceptable activity is strongly prohibited.
9) We strive to preserve The Automotive India as a source of unprejudiced information. Please rigorously attempt not to present false information / facts / views about a specific brand or product, irrespective as an owner or its fan.
10) It is always a good idea to mention the actual source of content (if copied) by providing a link to the original author / website.
11) The primary focus of our team is to build and nurture The Automotive India. We respect that every forum has their unique qualities and content. However, please do not use this board to refer, promote or conversely, depreciate other forums related to similar niche, directly or indirectly. Likewise, we also request that you do not use other related forums to advertise The Automotive India. This makes for an overall more fair, healthy and friendly environment.
12) Post edit facility is available for 15 minutes after the post is submitted. Please use it to make corrections / add more content, instead of adding another post within the specified time limit. However, a subsequent post may be added in spite of remaining time period if a post by another member has been already submitted in between.
13) Similarly also make sure to utilize Quote and Multi Quote feature while answering to a specific post or multiple posts respectively.

14) You may not bump a topic under 24 hours or post an irrelevant one-liner just for the sake of prolonging it.
15) Before creating a new thread, ensure that there doesn’t already a similar thread exists, by performing a forum search.
16) Keep the thread title precise so that it describes about the entire thread at a first glance in best possible manner.
17) Given that the motive of this forum is to spread and share the knowledge with everyone, therefore, members are not supposed to discuss any topic-relevant information through private messages, which may be useful for others if shared directly on the forum itself.
18) Since all the content in the forum is accessible by anyone with an internet connection, we advise not to share personal information (Such as Mail IDs, Telephone Numbers, and Address etc.) publicly and use the private messenger instead.
Please note that these set of rules are objectively applicable to all the members regardless of their post count or membership level. Our team members reserve the right to edit, move, close or delete a topic or post if deemed necessary. We endeavor to implement the policies in a cordial and friendly manner, and we expect from the members to accept them in a similar approach.
