I am running Vogtland springs with stock shocks, so far they seem to hold up well. Time will tell.
Ride is definitely much firmer than stock. But I do prefer the way polo rides and handles now. I am not sure if everyone would like the fact that every undulation in the road can be felt, but it does not bother me. Lot of polo GT TSI's are also running these springs (check staytunedindia on instagram or facebook), there are other springs in the market (H&R, Eibach, Tein, etc). Each, with slightly different spring rates and height drop.
Apart from the lowered height, I also have low profile tires so this adds to firmer ride. I ran Vogtland with stock alloys and tires for a week or so before my new wheels came in, the ride was slightly better with larger profile tires for sure ( I was running 205/55R15 Yokohomo S drives with stock wheels).
