How much of original value do you get for OEM tyres in percentage terms? My dad has booked baleno delta and it is likely to come with "MRF*" 185/65/r15 . How much can i expect if drive straight into tyre dealer shop?

Reason : I wanna upgrade to 195/55/r16 or should i stick with stock tyres and put 15" alloy wheels on it? I think 185/65/r15 do not do justice to baleno wide stance hence my desire to give her some standard factory treatment without those ugly looking suzuki alloys. Car will be driven primaly on highways so i thought wide tread would help!

Valuable inputs would be appreciated!

Thanks!

As per their Brochure, Baleno is coming with 195/55 R16 in all trims. But spare Tyre is 185/65 R15.

@Chairmansaab:
Sirji go and have a word with the tyre dealer nearest to the NEXA. The tyre dealer will offer you anything from 500-1000 rupees less than the price of brand new tyre of same spec. The dealer of the OEM company tyres will give the best price though.

@raaj See pic below, it looks like 185/65r15 to me. Also i've never seen 16" steel rim on a car, i think that would be too heavy!

@tsivipul thanks for heads up! Rs.1000-500 sounds good.

chairmansaab, please don't judge with pictures. Since they specifically printed in their official brochure, it should be R16. However, you may go to NEXA showroom and enquire about it.

Tyre size is indeed 185/65/r15 as confirmed by my RM and there is another source which states the same .

195/55r16 tyres are costly , secondly 16" steel rims are rare in cars. I think ride quality will be better on 15" then 16" since former has higher profile.

@TSIVipul i'm well aware of how 107mm and 120mm sidewalls looks! Please don't talk about i20 cause my inner devil wanna T-bone her so badly! She looks hot with 16" rims!

Before looking at Baleno I was confused if I should recommend i20 or Baleno to friends and anyone seeking advise. Then I thoroughly inspected the Baleno and now I am quite sure that I will advise everyone to go i20 way. Baleno makes its case in my books only when one is on tight budget and still needs ABS, Airbags and a spacious cabin.

Rest I would advise not to T Bone an i20 with a Baleno. There are chances that the i20 driver will still drive off with the Baleno counting its final breath in the mid of the road [evil]
