Hello Guys,

I am new to this forum and I am looking for expert advise on Tyre upgrades. Please advise which would be the best Tyre for Honda City 1.5S MT 2009 model. I am currently posted in Kolkata (Salt Lake Area) so any help with the dealer/shop/reference is highly appreciated.

My current Tyre readings are 175/65 R15. Please advise what will be the best upgrade to this as you are aware, Honda has poor ground clearance. Additionally, which alloys should I go for ? (price quotes/suggestions will be very helpful).

Cheers

Go for 16 inch alloys with 195/55 R16 tires. YOKOHAMA S drive will look good. you can try 205/55 R16 too but you have to check if they are not touching the body.
if you dont want to put new alloys then 195/60 R15 or 205/55 R15 but the later one will not be compatible with stock alloys I guess.

Cool. How much would the 195/60 R16 cost? Assuming this is +2% deviation from the original. But the 205 one, looks like that will touch the body during turns. I have been advised the Yokohoma earth one is a good fit for the quoted size. Any one has any idea about the pricing of this variant.

Go for 16 inch alloys with 195/60 R15 tires either Michilin or Yokahoma, regarding Alloys check with Honda Dealers for 2012-13 model alloys.

Hi King as the stock size of your car is 175/65 R15 it wont be advisable to go for 195/60 R16 as the deviation would be more than 5% rather you should go for 195/60/15 or else you can also go for 195/55/15 if you dont have clearance issues. As far as the alloys are concerned you should go for Plati alloys and they have recently launched a portal also Plati Alloy Wheels | Plati Alloys Wheels | Alloy wheel India where all the prices are online and transparent. You can choose the alloy of your choice on the site or through the dealer. I dont know whether they have dealer in your city but you can check it on the site.

Thanks
