Hi Ajay, thanks for your help. I gone through the site. Are you recommending the below one for me? Bi-xenon: Morimoto Mini H1 5.0 - HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc
If you an confirm, I will order it. Do I need to include bulbs too. They have 4300K bulbs.
Answer:-yes you should include the bulbs.4300k has the best visibility.Ask them whether they have XB35 4300k bulb.If they have buy that one.It is a bit expensive and brightness is also a bit more. morimoto 3five bulbs are also good.
what are shrouds?
Shrouds are the the one that is fixed in front of the projector as a cover to hide the screws and all those things and gives a good look. This is purely your choice. You can choose what you feel good on you car. There is no other function of it other than as a good look and covering the whole projector.Check my post of the retrofit explanation in page 50 of this thread. In my car i installed Apollo shrouds.Check the photo for better understanding.
For the MH1 complete kit they include mini-gatling or mini-graphite shrouds. If you want some other shroud you need to pay for them. But will deduct the price of mini gatling gun and replace you with the one you select.
there is a tab called projector shrouds where you can see each of them.Have a look at it and choose the one that you like.If you want help in choosing it then drop a mail to Mr andrew in "firstname.lastname@example.org".He will reply with in the next day.Dont worry they are excellent in customer service. You can ask any questions to them without any hesitation .They will answer it very well.I killed them a lot with my questions. Now it is your turn
On compatibilty tab I found these on that page,
Vehicles: Ideal for cars with H7 and H4/9003 headlights.
Other Vehicles: Also perfect for 9006, 9007, H11, and H13 applications
Bulbs H1 HID only
Answer:-Your car headlight should be h7 bulb or h4 bulb.i am not sure about it.If you have your car owner's manual the headlight bulb type will be specified almost on the last of maintenance page. They are giving you both h4 and h7 adaptors along the kit. Please tell someone to have a look at your car's owner's manual for confirming. This adapter is important.
Abswer:-The HID bulb using in Morimoto H1 projectors is H1 bulb and Morimoto D2S projectors using D2S bulbs.H1 bulbs are after market bulbs which is not available from companies such as philips. But D2S is available from philips, osram etc
The only plus point i saw in D2S is the availability as OEM
bulb which is every expensive. The output is not that much good on Morimoto D2S projectors as i saw on my long research.D2S projectors can be fixed only on h4 headlights. There is more likely of trimming your reflector.Everyone recommends for Morimoto H1 projectors. The second drawback of D2S is they wont give that much spread of light a MH1 projector gives.(But even FX-R uses D2S bulb they give more light due to bigger projector,But you need to cut the reflector to install it which need expert to do this and you cant revert it back to factory settings in future)
HID bulbs get only blow down if it got in touch with water or oil.Otherwise HID only decrease the amount of light it throws. So you dont need to worry about a fused bulb in a mid way and also they last much longer than halogen.
Ballasts Must have “AMP” type outputs. (most HID kits)
Answer:-you are getting the amp type output ballest along with this kit.So dont worry about it.But be sure to email them before ordering.Once you make your choice you can email them. They will prepare an invoice for you.
Other Shrouds Gatling, Gatling 2.0, Apollo, E46-R Ext, GTi--R, Ocular, E55-R,
Answer:-You can choose any of these shrouds of you choice. But need to pay some for them. But i prefer to have a look at it and if you like any, ask andrew about it.He will suggest you.
Does my vehicle belongs to this specification? Sorry to ask you more question, I'm just learning.
Answer:-Yes the specification is general to almost all vehicle.Except the h7 or h4 adaptor plate may change according to you headlight type.So dont forget to have a call home to confirm the headlight type from the owner's manual.
Asking questions is a good thing and never stop asking questions.I also came through this way. After a month, you will tell this to someone else.
Thanks in Advance.
