Hey guys,
I have a 1995 TATA SUMO with me.
I am planning to modify it.
As it is the oldest model of sumo
I have to do a lot of work on it.
.
.
.
.
I need some valuable suggestions [:D]

I have roughly planned somethings.
1) Metallic blue paint with some black stripes on the sides.
2) A snorkel
3) Offroading bumpers ( both in front and back)
4) Some broad or off roading tires with alloys
5) Some lighting works ( like the hummer has)
6) All leather interiors
7) Dashboard from the recent Sumo Gold
8) All seats changed
9) A SUNROOF
[:)]

Re: Tata sumo

Do not do anything with the Tires, if you are getting a better Tire mileage.
80% of old sumo's have a suspension prob's resulting to a very low Tire life,
So, if you are satisfied with the current situation then it is better you
do not do any thing to the wheel disc and with the Tire size.
Good luck on your mods.

Got your PM . Nice sumo you got there . Is this 4x4 ?

Now back to the question you had asked in pm
*warning this will change the way sumo response + if not careful when in speed might result toppled
There are two ways to raise height
1. By putting gap between body and its chassis but it need modification to fix steering.
2. By after market suspension which is expensive but better then body raise .

Btw what size of tire you want to fit?

Na its not a 4X4 thats why i am just gonna give it some exterior modifications.
I wanna give some offroading looks to it .The reason is I wanna keep Sumo with me.
As it is one of its kind. And has a nice history too. And emotionally attached to me.

I didnt plan anything with the tyre size.....but wanna give it a mean look with some broad tyres. I am not at all intersted in baloon tyres. So freakdude suggested me to go for Off roading tires.

I am planning to install a power steering to it.

Regards Sai

Uploading a few images of your car will be a good idea so that we could suitably suggest the exterior modifications.

Thanks....I had got it repainted 3 years back and anti rust coating on the down part.
All the parts of this car are original and no single part of the car is still touched

I think its better to clip the roof something like this as the roof of tata sumo is not uniform and kinda weird.
