ss80 - yes, I live around that area. Chassis gets slightly overwhelmed with more power.
The engine internals are good to take boost. It can hold up well till 8 psi - 14 psi depending on the sizing (CFM) of the turbo used. Drive shafts also hold up quite well. Clutch is probably a bit weak, yet it does it job till 8-10 psi on small(ish) turbo but past 14psi .... may give up real quick.
Aromal - Yes, smaller turbo would reduce the lag but top end performance suffers. The old carb M800 turbo I had done was using a much smaller turbo and it would spool right off idle but would run out of breath (almost) upwards of 3500 rpm. Having said that, small turbos r super fun in the city and traffic light - to - light performance.
Nope, havent dyno's my Carb M800 turbo, M800 MPFi and my Baleno turbo.
