Which Accessories Should I Buy for Hyundai Fluidic Verna?

I booked a Hyundai Fluidic Verna CRDi SX (O) 1.6 on Tuesday and am expecting delivery in the first half of December. I was wondering if you guys can help me with picking out accessories for it.

For starters, I wanted to extend the warranty to four years, but Hyundai customer care tells me that that option isn’t available on the diesel variants of the Verna. Is that really so?

Besides that, here are the ones I have thought of so far:

  • Floor and dicky mats
  • Art leather seat covers
  • Air freshener
  • Lint-free cleaning cloth
  • Wax polish
  • Car cover
  • Illuminated door scuffs
  • Steering wheel cover

Can you guys help me out with which brands of the above items to buy? I can buy them online, so pretty much anything that is available in the market is fair game.

Are there any other must-have accessories that I am missing? I don’t want to replace anything in the new car though, at least while it is still under warranty, so no new tyres or replacement headlights or ICE for me just yet.

Finally, a question about maintenance: will I be able to use the wax polish myself? If so, how frequently should I do it? Alternatively, what’s the best way to maintain that new-car shine for as long as possible? I’ve always thought that Teflon coatings are a scam, because I’ve never seen them last any longer than the default surface of the car. Are underbody coatings and anti-rust treatments of any use?

once again congrats for the car [:)]

1. i too wanted boot mat , but it was not available anywhere. i was getting that blue tarpouline which look hideous. if you purchase one do post a pic.

floor mats - if you want good expensive mats then 3d kagu is the best which will cost around 5000 rupees.
TAI member nick has kagu mats.

if you want less expensive like 10% of the 3d kagu :silly:

2. no idea about this.

3. ambi pure maybe. i personally don't prefer air freshener in car.

4. get some good microfibre clothes. and get jopasu duster as well.

5. i'll recommend you buy turtle or formula 1 wax paste polish online or at some good recognised car shop. most people sell fake products.

6. i got this one for 550. http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...dai-verna-fluidic-1-6-vtvt-46.html#post203216

7. again nickandre has this installed. http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...vtvt-sx-o-1-year-16-000-kms-8.html#post104294

8. get the steering cover from the dealer itself.

maintenance - yes you can wax the car yourself. i do. and most of the members say once in a month but i do once in 4-5-6 months.

cleaning steps + wax by me :http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...dai-verna-fluidic-1-6-vtvt-22.html#post168348

don't get the teflon from service center. if you want go to the 3m car care and get professional work done.

i don't think these underbody coats do anything. so i never got them in any of my car.
