I booked a Hyundai Fluidic Verna CRDi SX (O) 1.6 on Tuesday and am expecting delivery in the first half of December. I was wondering if you guys can help me with picking out accessories for it.
For starters, I wanted to extend the warranty to four years, but Hyundai customer care tells me that that option isn’t available on the diesel variants of the Verna. Is that really so?
Besides that, here are the ones I have thought of so far:
Can you guys help me out with which brands of the above items to buy? I can buy them online, so pretty much anything that is available in the market is fair game.
Are there any other must-have accessories that I am missing? I don’t want to replace anything in the new car though, at least while it is still under warranty, so no new tyres or replacement headlights or ICE for me just yet.
Finally, a question about maintenance: will I be able to use the wax polish myself? If so, how frequently should I do it? Alternatively, what’s the best way to maintain that new-car shine for as long as possible? I’ve always thought that Teflon coatings are a scam, because I’ve never seen them last any longer than the default surface of the car. Are underbody coatings and anti-rust treatments of any use?

- Floor and dicky mats
- Art leather seat covers
- Air freshener
- Lint-free cleaning cloth
- Wax polish
- Car cover
- Illuminated door scuffs
- Steering wheel cover
