Friends,

Today we attended the Mercedes Benz Off-Road Event 'STAR Off-Road Adventure 2016'organized by Mercedes Benz Dealer, T and T Motors at a created off-roading track on Faridabad-Gurgaon Road. Big thanks to Vipul for sharing the event's location[clap]. The event primarily focused on the off-roading capabilities of Mercedes Benz's SUV line-up. Cars that were driven there were GLA, GLC, GLE and GLS. On display were AMG GLA, AMG G-Wagon, AMG GL Class and AMG CLA. Here is the Official Coverage of the event for The Automotive India.

I was at the event too. Did you go for the drives Akash? It was splendid experience of being able to drive any Mercedes SUV over some really tricky obstacles but the Mercs were coming out with flying colors. I drove the GLC and absolutely fell in love.

PS... The red CLA45 is a customer car and not for showcase.

Well, the GLA kept getting stuck thanks (not) to the FWD setup. Even the GLS' awd fell prey to its own weight and it had to be towed out. The only worthwhile ride was GLC. Very plush and ambling ahead in that terrain. Ample torque enabled the petrol engine, which we got to drive, to climb with 4 people on board with aplomb and that too, under 2K RPM. CLA45 with a donut. [clap]

I have already driven GLC and GLS and GLE. Off Roading does not excite me and neither I am experienced in it. The Red CLA was indeed a customer car but was put up for display alongwith few more AMGs.

Akash

PS: Why dont you share the pics of this event here?

No worries[:)]. It would have been great if some snaps of off-roading would be there.

Then why may have you attended the event?
Not being interested much in off roading does not mean I can't attend the event[:)]. My agenda for this event was different. Welcome to TAI. You'll get to know me and about me in due course.

Regards

Akash
