with no previous knowledge on 4x4 , jumped into this ride's purchase and its conversion. Lets see what it throws on me [:)]

The idea is to make it look like Suzuki samurai an add more muscles.

Im a bit skeptical about it engine as of now as its a 1 litre motor. but lets see..

i love what i see bro. The tires are fantastic mind sharing the size and the cost. also how much did the racing seats cost you.

i would suggest please prepare a detailed report of the expenditures which will be useful for others in case they are going in for similar kind of modification.

Keep up the good work i'm glued to this thread now.[;)]

Wow, nice project smvijayan. As incarnation said, do post the complete details of this build in this thread, like planned and executed modifications, expenses and also the problems faced during the modifications. The tyres look perfect, the width is spot on for the bodyline. The garage looks experienced in this kind of work as I see some more cars (a Bolero also?) there. And I rrad that you are planning to make this a practical vehicle, so any changes om the suspension and steering? You could have kept the rear overhang longer though, but it is just a personal choice.

Keep the thread updated. Looking for progress pictures.

A Baleno engine with Gypsy 5 speed box would do all the justice it deserves. All the best on your restoration / conversion project.
Instead of 2 fog lamps, you could have given a thought on 2 nos of Swaraj Mazda headlamps. Good to house H4 (both high & low beams) bulb. Just my thought, respect your idea.

Thanks a lot dear friends.

1. I have the list of materials and cost - will post it

2. rear overhang. its all the design outcome of alex speed (pollachi), which is where the jeep is with. he is jeep crazy and a genius in my opinion :)

3. yeah bro, im thinking about it, was thinking to focus on the jeep transformation first , feel the orinal engine for a year and later change it to those specs..

jeep for 1.7 and rest around 2lkh so far but its worth outcome isn't it ?

rain is having its impact on my jeep too.

Hey. I am glad to see the development on the Jeep. The tyres you have chosen are literally the best (proportionate size with Jeep body) I have seen. I think the grill (latest pics) makes the car look more contemporary, and not raw like in the initial set of pics. I think should look raw, butch from the outside and be a different beast alltogether on the inside. What are your thoughts?Would wait for the final work pics and price list (of works done) eagerly.

And what colour are you thinking for it? I think Military Green (or something more like Dark Green) would go well. [:)]

Vijayan, this is super drool factor, your customizer is surely having attention to details, with those huge rubber, am sure you would need a PS on the onset, sure you would have worked it all out.

all the best.

Thanks a lot !!!! its truly motivating to share the jeep info and receive the feedback from the like minded crowd. (how amazing would it be if the wife is like that :))) ).

Power steering is yes, Aircon is yes :). But not the baleno engine and gear box. may be later but not now.

color is shiny metallic black after so much consideration. I wanted to go for candy orange or green but Alex insists its black :)) what to do..i trust the experts :))

I actually agree with the grille feedback of yours. :) we got the same taste but Alex again insists that its gonna look great and I trust him again :)) .

Rear end is his own design and I kinda like it though. he is building a custom spare tyre carrier in there, lets see. I wished I had a jeep during this floods and I would have used for some help but its still in the making.

please continue sharing your thoughts and advices. its very motivating!!!

thanks a lot

some from the list of items purchased to give u the idea. and the color choices and other jeeps that's used for our motivation

@safarian. Its MG410. I think the release after the 1st gen. Its known to lack engine power/ but im hoping after all the weight reduction and engine with jus 2 seats..that going to keep the jeep very lite and powerful crawler.

Hi Vijayan, I dont know how i missed this thread but this laundry list is looking great so far.

But i also fully agree with Ilango , this begs for a baleno engine. I am sure you will come to it later, after all once you are in this game its a endless money pit!

Look forward to constant updates, all the very best!

Nice list for cosmetic surgery. However I go with Alex on the colour Green or orange would make it look goddy while Black would make it look More Butch. and when you are in a jeep you would want to look butch. My suggestion is instead of gloss select Matt Colours.

May be the RE Desert Storme Color or Matt Olive Green or Matt Grey or Matt Black. Matt Grey this thing would look Killer. well its IMO.
