Soorma Bhopali returns

I probably presume this is my first thread in this section, so I admit that I ain't an expert in old school Jeeps. But, recently, I got an opportunity to check out a 25 year old jeep which was equipped with a perkins cooper diesel engine, a 3 speed manual gearbox and decompression switch to turn off the engine.
Its old, pure old school, with no creature comforts to speak of. But, yes, it does have its own charm.
Enjoy the pics. I'll leave experts to comment on this vehicle.

I can see a patch of oil on the road in one the pics. Please get it checked though it is not a big deal for old Jeeps to mark their territories.

Nice Jeep. Took me into nostalgia. My dad (working for a Lignite mine) has been allotted a Jeep. As and when they get aged, a new jeep takes its place. Hence, have been around Jeeps since early 90s. Looks like this is one from that period. Have you adapted a Premier Padmini steering lock?

Well this Jeep has been with me for the past 20 years now and I have done so much on this Jeep which one can not think of even in dreams. At one time I was negotiating a steep drop with the left side risen almost 50 odd degrees. I managed with a healthy friend of mine to lean towards the left l. Once again I crossed a 20 odd meter wide river that was about 2 feet deep in this same jeep. I never had the 4X4 shaft installed in this because of the sheer torque this engine has. Just once I managed to break a leaf spring when a wild boar crossed me and I had to perforce turn left and hit a rock which was unavoidable. Anyone in Delhi is most welcome to come and have a look. Thanks

Bhai jaan, I told you that day, its an immaculate piece to treasure. How I wish I could sit in it and experience it. Let me know your convenience so we can have a drive in it. Will also speak to Sidharth and plan up next week.[:)]. Have to also speak to you on 6 & 7 series.

Regards

Akash
