All these off road stunts and pictures looks really nice. But, if I have a Fortuner / Safari / Scorpio, I will never take it for an off road stunt May be I am avaricious about my SUV[;)] , but I would like to keep it in good shape !

buy a 4WD SUV & i am sure you will take it. you get that "indestructible" feel when you sit in one. you realize that these are build tougher than sedans, so you wont mind taking them off road.

many complain that SUVs have a very hard outer core or in other words, very heavy sheet metal, which is not good for other sedans or hatches in a collision. SUVs owners do want a hard body panel else in such off road sessions, they would reach home without their doors and fenders!

OT: a small stone flew from the tyre of a nearby vehicle onto my innova, making a huge dent on the lower front passenger door. [frustration] estimated repair cost - Rs. 6000/-!

if toyotas cant provide a stronger body panel, atleast reduce repair charges please!

So sad a small stone and a dent.
How come a stone flew sideways?
The way people appraise Toyota is highly questionable.
How can a car absorb an impact in case of accident?
I know air bags are there but, How about build quality.

Yes Fortuner is a huge vehicle with large road presence.
